1.4.These Evaluators shall confront the Candidate on a LOCKED, DEDICATED MW 4 Server

1.5.Server to be used during the trial will be established in the "Zone" preferably by a third party observer. If no observer is available, then the Chief Evaluator will host or delegate the hosting duty to another Evaluator.

1.10.Preferably, but not mandatory, the TOP will be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance.  This allows for the verification of eligibility and scheduling among Evaluators.

1.11.Regardless of the lead time in scheduling, the Chief Evaluator is responsible for verifying eligibility

2.      Procedure: COLD DROP

2.1.Prior to the drop, the Senior Evaluator will ensure that everyone participating in the ToR will have voice communications turned OFF for the remainder of the trial.

2.2.Upon launching the Server, the Candidate and the Evaluators will remain in their Spawn Points for several moments(DZ1 for Candidate and DZ 2 for Evaluators), until all members have made it in to the game.

2.3.  The Chief Evaluator (or host if designated by the Chief Evaluator) will then request “Ready Status” from all participants.

2.4.  Participants will respond with either “Ready” or “Not Ready - Reason”

2.5.  Observers will observe --this is a formal trial and will be treated as such.

2.6.  Once all participants are confirmed “In Game – Ready” the trial will begin.

2.7.  The Chief Evaluator will give the Candidate and the first Evaluator (Light Mech) the order “Weapons Hot – Begin Trial/Engage”

2.8.  The Candidate and, the Evaluator piloting the Light Mech will immediately leave the general area of their DZ and begin the first phase of the trial.

2.9.  At no time will either warrior re-enter the now “off limits” area of DZ1 or DZ2 (400m bubble around each DZ).  The candidate is warned that any encroachment into the “off limits” area,, or the engagement of ANY of the other Evaluators inside the “off limits” area, will immediately result in disqualification of the candidate and require the ToP must be rescheduled.  In the event an Evaluator violates an “off limits” boundary, the trial will be halted with a “procedural kill” being awarded to the candidate and that Evaluator will return to the spawn as an observer for the remainder of the trial.

**Special Note: The use of the area immediately behind the DZs to the edge of the map, although technically not inside the “off limits” area, is to be discouraged**

2.10. Should the Candidate be defeated, he/she will respawn and hold at the spawn. At the same time the Chief Evaluator will call “Weapons Cold” and command the Medium Evaluator to begin a return towards their spawn point. The Chief Evaluator may or may not command a complete return to the spawn, however the assurance of at least 1000m of separation must exist between combatants prior to the re-issuance of a “cleared Hot – Engage” call.

2.11. Should the Light Evaluator be defeated, he/she will respawn and observe from that point forward. At the same time the Chief Evaluator will call “Weapons Cold” and command the Candidate to begin a return towards their spawn point. The Chief Evaluator may or may not command a complete return to the spawn, however the assurance of at least 1000m of separation must exist between combatants prior to the re-issuance of a “cleared Hot – Engage” call.

2.12.The trial will be completed upon the expiration of time or the sixth death of the candidate or evaluator; whichever comes first.

2.13.The trial will continue, repeating steps 2.1 through 2.12 with the remaining evaluators in Medium, Heavy and Assault mech chassis. The Trial may also end when the sought rank is reached (see 3.4 below).

3.      Awarding Of Rank:

3.1.The ToR is used for advancement into commanding ranks; the whole person concept has been evaluated.  Non-tangible items such as attitude, loyalty and leadership, etc. have already been taken into account or else the candidate would not have been granted the opportunity to receive the ToR. Therefore skill is the determining factor for rank advancement.

3.2.  The ToR consists of 4 phases worth 6 possible points each; therefore the candidate has a total of 24 points available.

3.3.  The Command Staff will officially award rank based on the ToR results, so ensure that the final screenshot provided via email.  The candidate’s final score will be based on the sum total deaths of all opponent deaths, and not by a Candidates total number of kills.  Total opponent deaths will determine success or failure of the ToR.  In order to gain advancement the following point system will be used:

·        2nd Lieutenant = Minimum of 13 points

·        1st Lieutenant = Minimum of 16 points

·        Captain = Minimum of 19 points

3.4.  The ToR will immediately end upon one or more of the following conditions:

·        Reaching the required minimum number of points required for the sought after rank

·        When it becomes numerically impossible to reach the required number

·        When the 4 phases are completed and the Candidate has reached 24 combined deaths.

3.5.  There will be no reductions in rank if the required numbers of points for advancement are not achieved.

3.6.  There is a 1-month waiting period between ToR’s if a re-trial is required
